Bhubaneswar: After Cyclone and the subsequent floods in the Southern parts of the State an eight-member Central team will arrive in Odisha capital today to assess the damage caused by Titli .
The team will have a meeting with senior officials at the State Secretariat on November 2.
“The central team, led by AK Sahi, Joint Secretary (Center-State) Ministry of Home Affairs, will arrive in Bhubaneswar in the morning. Later in the day, the team will leave for Ganjam and Gajapati districts in two groups,” Mohapatra said Joint Relief Commissioner Pravat Mohapatra.
The Central team is likely to submit a report to the Union Government on November 2, an official said.
Notably, cyclone ‘Titli’ had hit the Odisha coast on October 11, causing a heavy downpour. Gajapati district was badly affected followed by Ganjam and Rayagada.
According to official data, as many as 57 people, including 10 children were killed in the natural calamity and damaging properties worth several crores.
