Elderly Couple Looted In Their House


Bhubaneswar: Capital city Bhubaneswar witnessed a new type of loot. Four unidentified men on Monday looted an elderly couple after entering their house on the pretext of taking it on rent in the busy Jagamara market here.

The couple had earlier announced that they would let their house on rent.
 Sources said the criminals got entry into the house saying they would inspect it before taking it on rent. ” Subash Prusty (73), his wife, Sradhanjali (68), and another elderly female relative were inside the house,” they added. The sources said as soon as the criminals got inside they pushed aside the couple and took away ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh. Prusty is a a retired BDO.
