Vivek Agnihotri slaps legal notice on Mamata Banerjee for her comments on The Kashmir Files

In the wake of West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee saying that The Kashmir Files was “meant purely to humiliate a particular section of society”, film maker Vivek Agnihotri has sent her a legal notice.

Such development has come just a day after Mamata Banerjee imposed a ban on controversial The Kerala Story.

The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri has said he has sent a legal notice to the West Bengal Chief Minister for her comments made about him and the film.

He along with Pallavi Joshi and Abhishek Agarwal have also asked Mamata Bannerjee to “tender unconditional apology” and withdraw all the allegations” against them and their films on May 8.

Agihotri has also sharing a four-page-long notice sent to Mamata. He wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, “BREAKING: I have, along with @AbhishekOfficl & Pallavi Joshi, sent a LEGAL NOTICE to the Chief Minister, Bengal @MamataOfficial for her false & highly defamatory statements made with malafide intention to defame us & our films #TheKashmirFiles & upcoming 2024 film #TheDelhiFiles.”
